"Writer's Block: Top Five Video Games" That is an interesting topic on which to write. I have played nearly every video game console created. I say "nearly" because I refuse to touch an XBOX or XBOX 360. Yes, I hate Microsoft; I think I always will. I think the only thing I hate more than Microsoft is American-made vehicles. Face it - They suck. Sure, all makes have their good models and their bad models, but it seems as if most of the models put out by American makes are bad. I love my Honda, so I will add no more to the Car Topic.

Back to the video games.

I have played: The original NES, the SNES, the N64, the Nintendo GameCube, The Nintendo Wii, Sega Genesis, Genesis with 32X, Sega's GameGear, the original GameBoy, GameBoy Color, the Nintendo DS, the PS2, and quite possibly Sony's original Playstation (but I cannot remember). Now, I must admit that I have some difficulty in responding to the subject. Since I have played seemingly every video game console, I have played many games. My problem is that I cannot identiry what kind of answer they are looking for. Should I respond with my five favorite games of all time? Should I respond with my five favorite games per system? Or, should I respond with my five favorites games of the most recent games I have played? Tough call. So, I choose to respond by stating my favorite series of games; these are listed in no particular order:

The Mario series for Nintendo consoles
The Sonic the Hedgehog series for all consoles, primarily Sega Genesis
The Dragon Warrior series, I have only seen them on the Nintendo consoles, but they may be on others.
The MegaMan series, I remember this series from the original Nintendo, but it may be on other consoles as well.
My final favorite series is a tie between the Metroid series and the Final Fantasy series. Again, I remember them from the Nintendo consoles, but they may be on others.

Feel free to leave comments if you agree/disagree or just want to argue.

First of all, it has been a while since I have last updated this. It has been about 10 months, if I remember correctly, and it is about time for an update.

Life rocks!

First of all, school is awesome. My GPA is now super-3.0, and I am using 'super' as slang for 'above;' kind of the same way people use 'sub' to mean 'below.' It makes sense to use 'super' in that context; just look at everything labeled as 'super:' Superman (above normal mankind interms of abilities); super-senior (high school term for those on the five-year plan); and so on. It just makes sense.

Anyway, back to the topic of school.

I am the only girl on a team building an open-wheel, formula style race car to take to Michigan this month for a competition. The competition is called Formula SAE, with SAE, the Society of Automotive Engineers, as a main sponsor. The Big Three American auto manufacturers are the other main sponsors of the event. Oh, and I have decided that I want to work in the automotive industry after I graduate next spring. I am also the President of SIUE's ASME student chapter. ASME is the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. I am a geek; it's fantastick!

Hmmm... My personal life, or lack thereor, is ... no I think 'lack thereof' pretty well sums it up. I have no personal life. All of my friends are guys, and that about sums up my life. I love those guys; they are the best guys I have ever known. Right now, I don't know what I would do without Justin. He is such a great guy (and good kisser, too. just a side note), and he has helped me through these past few weeks. I feel I owe him a lot. My most recent boyfriend and I broke up about a month ago, and I took it harder than I lead on. I am still unable to form coherent sentences about the topic, if that is any indication as to how it has affected me. This last guy really meant a lot to me, but things just were not in our favor. He is a mechanical engineering major at Michigan Technological University and we were friends in high school. He is such a great guy; I don't really want to let go, but I know I must. There is no sense into holding on to the past.

Back to Justin

Justin is great. He is my best friend in the world right now. At this point in time, he probably knows more about me than anyone else. I am just so comfortable around him; it's great. I hope he and I are friends for a long time to come. I sort of hope something beyond 'just friends' developes, but I am not going to rush it along. He deserves better than to be the dreaded 'rebound relationship.'

I suppose that is all for now.
